I can’t believe we’re nearly halfway through August already….Christmas is just around the corner (shudder).
This weekend has seen absolutely gorgeous weather. There has been no need for jumpers, heaters or electric blankets. The washing went out and dried quickly. The sunshine was warm and the temperature mild. I love this time of year!
We went for a short drive out into the vineyards today. Mollie bought some new Beanie Kids, which made her very happy. Some friends came over for dinner, and better still, brought the food with them! We had Chinese takeaway, a couple of drinks and a good gossip session. Very civilized.
I’ll be off to bed shortly. I love to crawl into bed at night and curl up with a book. It’s my favourite time of day, and one of my favourite things in the world to do.
Mollie lost a tooth tonight, so I must remember to notify the tooth fairy. I can’t believe we’re still going through this now that she is 10! Surely she knows the truth, but she is definitely in denial. I’ll have to scrape through my bag and locate some money. What a nightmare.
Back to work tomorrow, just for something different. I tell you, this five days a week thing is a bit wearing…I don’t know how people do it really.
