Where was I?
Ah, yes, running out the door to work. It’s how I spend my life these days! I shouldn’t complain, but I probably will anyway!
What else has been going on? Mollie spent four days on a school excursion to our Nation’s Capital. She enjoyed it, but felt very homesick. She came home with a filthy attitude and a filthier mouth! After hearing the ‘f’ word for the third time, I washed her mouth out with soap. I think she got the picture, because I haven’t heard it again!
The weather continues to be foul and horrid. We have had gale force winds for about 48 hours, and I almost got blown off the road travelling to and from work yesterday. I actually had to slow down, in order to keep control of the vehicle!! Not good. We don’t get snow where we are, at least we haven’t since 1963, but I could have sworn yesterday that it was cold enough to snow! It would not surprise me if the nearby mountain ranges were experiencing some soft, white stuff.
I’m going for coffee with Cath in a while, which I am looking forward to. She is great company and good fun. I miss her.
I haven’t been able to catch up with Tiff lately, and I miss her too. Last winter when her twin babies were sick, I was able to offer some moral support. This year, I’m working, and no use to her at all! I know she is struggling, but there’s absolutely nothing I can do.
Right, I’ve just had my third phone call this morning, and considering I listen to phone calls for a living, it’s the last thing I want to do right now. If i go have a shower, I won’t hear the phone!!
